The Stevens Towing Shipyard is located just south of Charleston, SC on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (Google Maps).

Offshore vessels with a draft of 22’ or less can access the Shipyard via the North Edisto River (Sheet A, Sheet B, Sheet C, Sheet D) while larger vessels can utilize our Pierside Street location in Charleston for topside repairs. There are no overhead obstructions between the North Edisto Inlet and the Shipyard.

Stevens Towing's Heavy Lift team successfully completed the second delivery of cable spools for the Sunrise Wind Project! An overseas company hired us to handle two shipments, which arrived in Charleston in June. Our team safely transported the reels from the ship to one of our Super Jumbo Hopper Barges (260' x 52'6""), then delivered them to their final destination. Mission Demolition Complete! Stevens Towing recently teamed up with Global Rigging and Transport to support a major demolition project at a waterfront military base on the East Coast. Our tug, Island Trader, and the Stevens 2501 barge spent 6 days onsite loading 4 massive crane girders—each stretching up to 189 feet long and weighing up to 150 tons. After securing the cargo, we transported it to our shipyard on Yonges Island, where our team utilized the 820MT Marine Travel Lift to unload and begin the scrapping process. Finding New Life Beneath the Waves Stevens Towing Company recently partnered with @NC_DMF to create a new reef habitat off the coast of North Carolina. Using our tug, the Sea Crescent, we transformed the fire-damaged Thomas Dann, donated by Marinex Construction, into an underwater sanctuary for marine life. After carefully drydocking and preparing the vessel, we towed it to its final destination, where it was skillfully sunk using flooding valves to create a thriving reef habitat.
