What started as a small operation to repair and maintain our own fleet has grown to a full-service Shipyard that services tugs, barges, floating cranes, crew boats, dredges, ferries and just about anything else made of steel, aluminum and even wood.

• 820-Ton Marine Travel Lift: We’ve got the muscle to lift big jobs, with a 60-foot long lift that can handle vessels up to 820 tons.
• 1,800-Ton Marine Railway: For the big ones—up to 300 feet long and 90 feet wide, no problem. Our 1,800-ton railway gets the job done fast and safe.
• Railway II (1,000-Ton Capacity): Smaller but still heavy-duty. This 1,000-ton railway handles up to 300 feet long and 72 feet wide.

Stevens Towing recently completed repairs on the Spirit of Carolina, a 90-ft passenger yacht operating dinner cruises in Charleston, SC.

Using our Marine Travelift, our team provided maintenance to ensure this 300-ton vessel, remains in top condition. These tour vessels work around tight schedules, keeping to schedule and hitting the designated maintenance windows is of utmost importance as they pre-sell tickets for upcoming trips or events. At 104 feet long with a 36-foot beam and 6,000 horsepower, this powerful Crescent Towing vessel is traditionally difficult to bring inland for servicing. Stevens Towing is proud to be one of only a few shipyards on the East coast with the capability to handle vessels of this size and power.

@ChathamAreaTransit Authority’s (CAT) newest ferries, Juliet Gordon Low II and Susie King Taylor II, recently made their way to Savannah, and Stevens Towing was thrilled to play a key role in their journey!

Stevens Towing was hired to provide a turnkey solution for the delivery of the new ferries from Elizabeth, NJ to Savannah, GA. With our strong relationships nationwide, we called on some of our trusted maritime partners to assist with the loading, securement, and discharge of the ferries.

This turnkey solution made it seamless for our customer and allowed them to focus on their specialty of building vessels knowing that the logistics of delivering them was in good hands.
